Professional Experience: Starting in 2006, Sam worked for Portland Golf Club for three years as a part of the Member Service Staff. In 2008 he interned at Citi Group, Smith Barney. As an intern, he helped a financial investing team with administrative duties and special projects. Most recently, he volunteered in San Jose, Costa Rica where he taught English in a low-income primary school.
Education:
• Sunset High School Portland, OR. Graduated 2005.
• University of Oregon Eugene, OR. BS in environmental science with minors in business, economics, and music.
• La Trobe University Melbourne, Australia. Study abroad program.
Interests: Sam was born in Portland, Oregon where he has lived for most of his life. He enjoys traveling, recently completing a six-month excursion throughout the Caribbean and parts of Europe. His two favorite hobbies are golf and music composition. He has been playing golf for 10 years and has a love/hate relationship with the game. Sam started playing guitar when he was 14 and enjoys writing songs as well as trying new instruments.
